2) Belgian Congo
The Belgian Congo was a Belgian colony in Central Africa between 1908 and 1960. Now it is called the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). The previously Belgian colony had to fight in order to achieve independence and become the modern Republic of Congo.
