The “second Klan” had faded from power by the start of world war II.
Around this time period, the Ku Klux Klan was bombarded with massive scandals due to the actions of their leaders which caused constant internal fighting within the Klan.
The Klan eventually disbanded in 1944 before it re-established by David Duke in 1970.
