So segments RS and ST add to get RT, making your equation RS+ST=RT. Plug in all the known values, getting you the equation 9+3x=6x. Solve for X by subtracting the 3x on both sided and dividing by 3, making X=3. Now, plug in the value of X into RT=6x. 6*3=18, meaning RT=18
