change 1/3 and 2/3 so the denominators are 9

1×3=3
3×3=9

2×3=6
3×3=9

your new fraction are 3/9 and 6/9, now you can add the numerators

2+3+6=11

your answer is:11/9

if simplified your answer would be 1 2/9

hope this helped
