if you want the total of ppl who take the elevator is would be 19

Add the 2 groups of people taking the elevator together, 3 athletes and 16 non-athletes so that is 3+16=19

Now if you wanted to do the same thing for the stairs it would be 10 + 7 =17

Now in all there were 17+19= 36 people polled
