Well, by looking at the periodic table and determining the ionic charge or combining capacity for these individual options, we can see that A. Aluminum is the only one that will form a cation, after donating a total of 3 electrons to that of Bromine, resulting in the compound of AlBr3. Al has a charge of +3 after giving its 3 valence electrons to Bromine.
