The correct answer is D. If you look at the equation you can see that the line crosses at the points (1,5) and (-2, -4). Use this set of ordered pairs to find the slope. (-4-5)/(-2-1) = (-9/-3) = 3 The use the point-slope formula and fill in the ordered pair (1,5) with the slope. y - 5 = 3( x - 1)
