-6 = 2y

-6/2= y

-3 = y
Steps:
3x - 2(0) = 6

Plug 2 into the equation

3(2) - 2y = 6
6 - 2y = 6
6 = 6 + 2y

If this is wrong try doing it the opposite way which is:

3(0) - 2y = 6
-2y = 6
Y = -3

3x - 2(-3) = 6
3x + 6 = 6
3x = 0
