How is the graph of y=-8x^2-2 diffrent from the graph of y=-8x^2

y = -8x^2 - 2 is different from the graph of y = -8x^2 because it has been translated down two units. We can confirm this by testing values. For instance y = -8x^2 - 2 is -2 at x = 0, while y = -8x^2 is 0.
