Marasmus is considered as the total nutritional deficiency; whereas, Kwashiorkor is only protein deficiency. Both are seen in children with nutritional deficiencies. Treatment for Marasmus is, total nutritional supplementation while high-protein supplement intake for Kwashiorkor.
