Need help to solve this question 7y+(2y+5) ?

7y+(2y+5)

Pretend that there is a +1 in front of the bracket

7y+1(2y+5)

Multiply the bracket by 1

(1)(2y)=2y

(1)(5)=5

7y+2y+5

Answer: 9y+5
