Which property is not used to simplify the following expression? (x+5)*2+7=2(x+5)+7
=(2x+10)+7
=2x+(10+7)
=2x+17

2x + (10+7) because the right hand side simplifies to (2x+10) + 7 and then becomes 2x + 17
