These extensions of their cytoplasm are called Pseudopodia. This form of movement by extension of cytoplasm is called “Amoeboid movement”
Amoeba moves by means of pseudopodia (pseudo-false), (podia-feet). Pseudopodia is bent in the direction it wants to move.
