a Constitutional monarchy provides what power to a monarch?

In a Constitutional Monarchy, the function of a monarch is more to advise, consult and to warn.  In some cases, they have the power to dissolve government.  Other than that, most government policies and projects are done by parliament as monarch don not make policies.
