[tex]2x+ \frac{2}{y}=4w+2[/tex]

Our goal is to isolate x.

First we subtract [tex] \frac{2}{y} [/tex] on both sides of the equation.

[tex]2x=4w+2- \frac{2}{y} [/tex]

Then divide 2 on both sides.

[tex]2x= 4wy+2y-2[/tex]

Then divide 2 on both sides.

[tex]x= \frac{2wy+y-1}{y} [/tex]
