The youngest layer is the intrusion formed by the recent lava flow, that is number 8,it is then followed by rock number 7 formed by recent weathering and erosion after the fault shifted rock 4, 5, and 6. layer number 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 then follows in that order with layer 1 being the oldest.
